A Brooklyn web developer has come up with a device that takes away all mentions of Donald Trump from the Internet – a so-dubbed Trump Filter extension for Google Chrome users.
Created by Rob Spectre, the device removes web content using three levels of sensitivity: mild, aggressive and vindictive, the Hill reported.
“I am doing this out of a profound sense of annoyance and patriotic duty,” Spectre said, the Hill reported.
He also said his hope was to draw away some of the massive media attention Trump’s received and give it to other candidates.
“I hope folks will take this opportunity to learn more about the wide field of candidates out there,” he said to CNN Money. “People are looking to turn him off.”
Spectre previously developed a similar application that removed mentions of baseball’s Derek Jeter from the Internet.
